2026-2031 Transit Development Plan
As a public transportation benefit area authority in Washington state, Spokane Transit Authority develops a yearly Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the following six years, detailing how we’re going to improve bus services and infrastructure.
For this year, we’re developing the plan which covers the years 2026-2031.
This plan is shared annually with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) as required by state law, contributing to their reports to our lawmakers.
But it’s not just a requirement; this plan is a key part of STA’s medium-term strategy to make public transportation in Spokane better for everyone.

The TDP planning team provided the committee with an update on the draft plan during the June CAC meeting.

Residents attended the in-person open house at STA Plaza to learn more about current TDP projects as well as future initiatives.

Proposed Plan Adoption
The STA Board of Directors will take action on the proposed adoption of the 2026-2061 Transit Development Plan.
