Lilac Armed Forces Torchlight Parade 2025: Service Updates

Plaza Temporary Closure

On Saturday, May 17, STA Plaza will remain open but closed to bus traffic starting at 3 pm. Temporary Boarding Bays on 2nd, 3rd , and Howard will be in use from 3 pm until the end of service.

Spokane Transit will operate regular Saturday bus service on the day of the parade with the following changes:

Routes 12 & 14 (east and westbound) will have special buses departing the alternate zones at 11:20 pm.

No other additional service or special departures will be available.

Before and after 10:45 pm, Plaza departure times for other routes are staggered. Plan your trip with STA

Downtown transfer points:

  • Eastbound: Third & Howard
  • Westbound: Second and Howard

Jefferson Park & Ride Lot Temporary Closure

The Jefferson Park & Ride lot will be closed to public parking on May 16, 17, and 18 to accommodate the storage of the Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade floats.

A temporary bus stop will be added for customers located at Cedar and Fourth Avenue.

The lot will reopen to the public at 1 pm, Sunday, May 18.
