About STA
Spokane Transit provides public transportation services through fixed route (bus) service, paratransit service and vanpool to the cities of Airway Heights, Cheney, Liberty Lake, Medical Lake, Millwood, Spokane and Spokane Valley and parts of the unincorporated County.
The organization employs more than 620 people and is overseen by a 13-member regional board: nine voting elected officials from jurisdictions within the Public Transportation Benefit Area, four non-voting elected officials from area small cities, and a non-voting labor representative.

STA is committed to a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Capital Improvement Program
The 2013-2018 Capital Improvement Program was approved by Spokane Transit’s Board of Directors at the October 2012 meeting.
Surplus Van Grant Program
Spokane Transit offers a Surplus Van Grant program that awards retired STA vans to qualifying applicants.
