There will be significant impacts Wednesday, August 20 to STA service within the City of Spokane due to the funeral processional for Spokane County Sheriff Sergeant Kenneth Salas, a 34-year veteran who was killed in the line of duty. Routes 6, 11, 22, 25, 27, 28, and 35 will be on detour from 9:30 AM to 3 PM, though delays are expected throughout the system between 11 AM and 1 PM.

- Washington/Stevens (Spokane Falls Blvd to Boone) → 9:30am–3:00pm
- Staging: Assembly St. (Francis and Wellesley) →10:30–11:30am; approx. 100+ vehicles.
- Departure: 11:15am traveling south on Assembly, NW Blvd, Ash St, Broadway Ave, Monroe St, Boone Ave, Division St, Spokane Falls Blvd, and Washington St.
- Closures:

- Division St. (Sharp to Spokane Falls) → 11:00am–12:30pm
